Annual Meeting 2023 – voting information

Greetings,

Thanks again to everyone who has RSVP’d for the upcoming annual meeting. An agenda will be emailed to members by Friday, February 17 th . One item we’ll need to address during the meeting will be to vote for new BCC Board Members.

Susan Gann (Treasurer), Susan Woods (Secretary), and Glenn Brook (Membership) have all completed their two terms on the board. Mike Laman (Lifeguards) has completed his first term but has interest in running for a second term.

We have had three BCC members express interest in serving on the board:
* Rose Ann Warren: Rose has served on the Emory Valley Board of Directors in the past, where she was Treasurer. We are glad to have Rose as a new member of the BCC.
* Kathleen Cherry: Kathleen volunteered during our “Post-season Pool Clean-up Day” and was approached about the possibility of joining the BCC board. She has experience working on non-profit Boards.
* Ken Weston: Ken expressed a willingness to take over the ‘membership’ board position. When Glenn had to step away from his board position due to work obligations, the BCC board appointed Ken his temporary replacement, so he could properly begin training.

If you won’t be able to join us at the upcoming annual meeting, please consider the aforementioned board member candidates. If you support the candidates, please print, sign and return the attached proxy form to the Club via email ( support@briarcliffclub.freshdesk.com ) or you can take a picture and text to 865-660-0190.

Having the upcoming season’s board members in place immediately following the annual meeting helps the Club out by allowing us to discuss the business for the 2023 season sooner.
