Thiseliminates the possibility of someone signing up to rent, thus claiming a membership, but not paying their fee. It can be an issue when we start getting close to running out ofmemberships. One week and two weeks were discussed. Website (Klemen) Klemen discussed what is needed to be done in order to switch from last season to a new2024 season. Discussion Items We set the Annual Meeting date and time for Sunday, March 3rd at 4:00pm. We will inquire on the availability of Oakey’s meeting room. The BCC Board voted in favor (4-0) of allowing private parties in mornings before the BCC pool is guarded. Private parties include exclusive use of all Club facilities. We discussed the possibility of installing screening material on the fence line adjoining theneighboring residence. Nothing was voted on, but the 4 board members attending weregenerally supportive of the idea. The board voted in favor (4-0) of removing the remaining trees along the fence line which runs parallel to Briarcliff Avenue, and voted in favor of the quote provided by Big Orange Tree. Invoices to be sent Monday, March 4th. The current O&M fee and rental fees were discussed. The current thought is that the O&M fee and rental fees will stay the same as they were the previous year. The BCC Board discussed the tree installation quote received from Lockett Lawn andLandscape. The BCC will follow up with said company with a few questions regarding the size of the trees, and to ensure the likelihood of the trees becoming diseased. We will also getclarification of the amount of trees necessary to provide screening along Briarcliff Avenue. We briefly discussed keeping lifeguard wages competitive with the City of Oak Ridge Aquatics program. We also briefly discussed possibly reimbursing lifeguards for their certification class fees if they elect to work for the BCC. The attending board members were generally supportive of efforts to promote more lifeguard applicants. We discussed ideas to provide shade for members.
The BCC club is preparing for the new pool season, including finalizing the O&M fees and rental amounts for season 2024. We expect to be sending out O&M invoices on March 4th to all the share owners. We will likely start processing rental applications around the same time. While the rental fees have not been set yet for season 2024, we encourage potential renters to submit the rental application here as applications will be processed in order we receive them. BCC club will contact you before finalizing the rental agreement.
